Statement of Faith

We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is the free gift we receive the moment we put our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that his death, burial and resurrection paid for all of our sins for all time. If we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth (Romans 10:9) we can receive the gift of salvation by calling upon the name of the Lord (Romans 10:13). When we are saved we are born again (John 3:3) and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).

We believe that repentance, in the context of salvation, is turning from unbelief to belief (Mark 1:15), with true godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10) for all the sins we’ve hitherto committed against God. We do not believe that a person must, first, turn from their sins in order to be saved, but that, once saved, by God’s grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), the same Holy Spirit which seals our redemption (Ephesians 4:30) will give us His strength to sin no more. God calls us, as His children, to live a holy, righteous life (1 Peter 2:24). As part of doing so, we should, indeed, confess and repent of (that is, turn from) our sins, in which case, as saved Christians, God “is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Eternal Security

We believe in the eternal security of the believer and that no man can pluck us out of God’s hand (John 10:28). The moment we are saved we are “sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13) unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). However, God has given us free will, not only free will to come to him through Christ but also free will to turn away from him and return to the world. Thus, our salvation is only secure if we continue to abide in Christ, otherwise we will be cast forth as a branch (John 15:6).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) and the promised Messiah (Daniel 9:25-26, John 1:41). We also believe that the name Jesus (Luke 1:31) is the correct name in the English language (Greek: Ιησούς) and, therefore, reject the Sacred Name Movement that advocates replacing Jesus’ name with Yeshua or Yahshua.

The Godhead

We believe that the Godhead consists of the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one (1 John 5:7). All three (Elohim, plural) were present at the creation (Genesis 1:1) and at the same time as being one God, the Bible shows us there is a distinction between all three (John 14:26).

The Bible

We believe that the King James Bible is the best available English language Bible, with the New Testament being translated from the Majority Text (Byzantine) rather than the Minority Text (Alexandrian). When reading and studying the Old Testament, however, we often check the Brenton translation of the Greek Septuagint due to the known corruptions in the Hebrew Masoretic text, the basis of all English translations. We do not believe in “lost books” being rediscovered, since God promised to preserve his word for all generations (Psalms 12:6-7).

Soulwinning & Discipleship

We believe that God wants everyone to be saved (2 Peter 3:9) and that He considers those who win souls to be wise (Proverbs 11:30). We believe that faith comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:14-17) and that all believers, as children of God, are commanded by Jesus to spread the gospel, baptize new believers, and to raise up new disciples as per the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

End Times

We believe we’re living in the end times and that the most important thing is to follow Jesus’ command to “Go ye” and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15), reaching as many of the lost as possible with the everlasting gospel (Revelation 14:6-7). As the spiritual forces of darkness are strong in these last days, we believe all true believers must ensure they have put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:11), abiding in truth and righteousness, in God’s word and in prayer, always ready to preach the gospel, and watching for the day of the Lord (Matthew 25:13) — not for ourselves only, but so that, as watchmen (Ezekiel 33:6), we’re able to warn others as we see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:11-18)

God's Elect

We believe that the saved are God’s elect (Galatians 3:29). And that “he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God” (Romans 2:28-29).

Israel & Zionism

We do not believe that the modern State of Israel is a fulfillment of the true biblical Zion but the result of the will of man. More particularly, an outgrowth of the spirit of antichrist. That said, we wholeheartedly support the true spiritual Israel, composed of all true believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel …” (Romans 9:6-8). The promises were made to Abraham and his seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16), “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

We reject all teachings of dispensationalism, which we believe to be a gross distortion of Scripture in support of the spirit of antichrist and, specifically, the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:9; 3:9) which is responsible for the existence of the above-mentioned modern State of Israel.
