And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12)
Many professing believers today are addicted to emotional Christianity. They get high on revival, on worship music, on waving their arms in the air.
All to the exclusion of abiding in God’s Word, growing in knowledge and understanding, and having the wisdom to distinguish truth from lies.
For the Lord gives wisdom; and from his presence come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)
If we abide in His Word, God will give us discernment.
And if we are willing to receive it, He will give us the love of the truth.
Satan, however, blinds minds with numbers and bright lights. He manipulates feelings with melodies and lyrics. He makes the moment or movement more enticing than the Word of God.
Discernment is lost. Wolves appear as sheep. False doctrine becomes attractive.
We MUST receive the LOVE of the truth.
Else, we will receive strong delusion and believe a lie.
Pray to not be deceived.
Pray for knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
Pray to receive the love of the truth.
That you might be saved.
